An interfaith support group for separated, divorced, widowed and single adults in the Greater Boston Area.  We meet 52 weeks a year.

People come to New Beginnings for many reasons.  But they all agree that being part of this group has helped them overcome the fears associated with loss, helping them to develop a positive outlook, feel good about themselves and move on with their lives.

What kind of group is New Beginnings?

• Participation in all groups is "free".

• We are single adults.

• We range in age from mid 40's through mid 90's with a few older and a few younger.

• We are primarily a support group as opposed to a social group.

• We focus on loss and healing issues as well as other basic human issues single adults face.

• We are a self-help group, led by professionals and lay persons.

• Though we hope our group is therapeutic, we are not a therapy group.

• We offer a safe place where single adults can experience healing and growing.

• We are a war, caring family for people who have had losses in their lives; a place where all single adults can come and be valued and appreciated as persons and accepted unconditionally.

Membership Information

Membership is the main source of our group's financial operations.  Support comes from the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church in their sharing of their space and leadership of Dr. David Stryker.

Membership fees give us the resources to have professional speakers and for New Beginnings to sponsor other activities.  Most of the professional speakers are paid.  At each meeting we pass the basket for those who are able to donate.

Help Keep a Good Thing Going

Become an official member of New Beginnings Singles Group, Wellesley Hills.  Your $40 annual dues ($20 after June 30) help cover the cost of program speakers, the newsletter and other expenses including postage AND it is tax deductible.

Please renew at a meeting or send your check made out to "New Beginnings Wellesley Hills" along with your application.
